#10 Playing around with Image Generators

Glitter Words

I've managed to glitter some text of my own, using glitterfy.com as well as finding Tinkerbell and adding my own text to this image.

This is certainly fun (and a little addictive!). No wonder this week was called "playing around with image generators", I could spend ages just seeing what other creations I can produce!!!

And just to prove a point, here goes :

If you want to have a go at some of these, try the following URL's :

Have fun and good luck!

#8 RSS and Newsreaders

I never realised how useful and wonderful RSS knowledge could be for me!

My three particular interests which I created Feed Folders for in my Bloglines (at this stage!) are professional library reading material, youth literature, and cooking. Youth literature and cooking being very close to my heart. Professional reading being part of the job I love too.

In particular the Youth literature feeds are wonderful as I am a casual librarian with a deep interest and passion for youth literature in Australia. This is a great way for me to keep abreast of new information being shared/reported/reviewed without having to go hunting for it all the time!

One stop shopping so to speak! Very important to me when time is of the essence.

For anyone with similar interests, feel free to visit my bloglines page at

#5 Flickr

Well let's see how much I've learned. If this works I should have three photos now available for everyone to see. These are important to me, as they are photos of paintings that my great-great-grandfather painted back between 1870-1935 approx. His way of earning an income back then was to sell these paintings to Sea Captains of the ships, hence these paintings ended up all around the world.

What a wonderful way for me to collate the rest of my picture collection of A. V. Gregory paintings to share with his relatives through the world of Flickr. I'll have to get cracking on the rest later!
